Beauty Review: Celeteque Brightening Radiance Body Cream + Giveaway

A few weeks ago, I received a bottle of Radiance Body Cream with MultiBright Complex and SPF 15 from Celeteque DermoScience. If you have been reading my blog, you know that I love body lotions. In fact, I have several brands right now (this one included ; p) that I alternately use depending on my mood ; )

What I love about the product:

• Sheer finish
• Absorbs easily by the skin
• Non-greasy
• SPF 15- Titanium Dioxide, check!
• Does not leave white streaks

What I don't like about the product:

• Lightly-scented
• Not so rich and creamy

My Review: Obagi-C RX System C-SunGuard SPF 30

By now, most of you have read about the House Of Obagi (HOO) that I have attended two months ago. What I didn't tell you is that I was given a box of Obagi-C RX System C- Sunguard with SPF 30... woot!

I was quite happy with my Pevonia Botanica Ligne Soleil sunblock so I was not able to try this product sooner. Fact is that I tend to stick with one brand if the product suits me well. Case in point, the bottle I had was already half empty when I gave it away to my mom. Yes, I have to part with a product to give way to other brands so I can share my experience with you, my dear readers ; )

What is Sun Protection Factor (SPF)?

SPF numbers signify the duration of protection against UVB rays versus not using a sunscreen. E.g. no sunscreen= sunburn onset 10 minutes; SPF 30= sunburn onset 300 minutes.

UVA:

• Penetrates skin more deeply than UVB
• Plays a major role in accelerating photoaging: wrinkles, skin roughening, blotchy skin color, brow spots, poor skin tone, sallowness
• Can contribute to development of skin cancer

UVB:

• Penetrates skin less deeply than UVA
• Is a primary cause of sunburn
• Plays a key role in the development of skin cancer
• Contributes to photoaging

Pevonia Botanica contest

Last month, I met Jenny of Pevonia Botanicals Philippines when I went to The Spa to try The Express Facial and The Purifying Back Treatment. Pevonia is the product used by leading spas including Suriya Spa, Toccare Spa, Amorita Resort and of course, The Spa.

As I have said in the previous post, sunscreen is my best defense from the harmful rays of the sun. So, when I was given a choice on what sample to receive, between sunscreen and a body scrub, naturally, I went for  sunscreen.

The scent reminded me of Coppertone, this sunscreen safeguards the skin from burning and aging rays- UVA & UVB as well as infra-red rays. And yes, one of the active ingredients is Titanium Dioxide.

It is non- greasy and gives a silky smooth feel when applied on face and body. I use this primarily on my face though.

Things I love!

pure seduction

I love, love the scent of this lotion- a mix of Casaba Melon, Plum and Freesia. I apply this after taking a bath. The scent would stay in the whole bathroom for awhile after applying it.

Freshel by Kanebo sunblock

Never ever leave home without a sunblock! I had the chance to try Kanebo when I bought a bottle of sunblock in Taipei a few years back. I tried it and I like that it never felt heavy after applying it on your face. The white stuff easily dissolves on your skin. And most importantly no icky after feel. I apply it even when I just stay home. Good thing, SM carries the Kanebo brand. The packaging is different but the contents are the same. I got it cheaper in Taipei though.
