Day 1
Although we were in Singapore from November 14-17, we only booked two nights at Summer View Hotel. Why? Because our flight back PAL PR 506 ($189.20 round trip airfare) was on the 17th of November at 12:15am.
Summer View Hotel Singapore
There were three of us who stayed in one room. The room was cramped with just a tiny space to walk in between the beds. But that was just fine with us because we only stay there to sleep and freshen up hehe Plus, we only paid PhP4449.55 per pax for our two nights' stay.
The morning receptionists were both Filipinos. They gave us a few pointers on how to save money on transportation hehe
Sri Krishnan Temple

Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple
The hotel is located right across a IBIS hotel. Not far from it is Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho- a Chinese temple, Sri Krishnan Temple and the Bugis Village. Surrounding it are malls like OG Shopping Centre, Sim Lim Square and Prime Centre.
right across is Summer View Hotel
The above photos were taken around 6 to 7 in the morning. The streets are still empty as evident in the last photo.
Singapore Night Safari... world's greatest!
To continue on with my travelogue, this post is still about what transpired on my first day in Singapore. The hotel receptionist booked the Night Safari tour for S$50 each person inclusive of the entrance, tram ride and pick up and drop off the hotel. It was hassle-free. The break down of cost S$32 for the entrance and tram. S$4 one way transportation by commercial bus.

Thumbuakar Performance is right smack at the entrance- Entrance Plaza. It's a live show featuring human torches. Show runs at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. We watched the 7pm performance but we have to leave after about 20 minutes so we can catch another show called Creatures of the Night.
Creatures of the Night stage
Sadly, due to the rainy weather, Creatures of the Night show was cancelled. We were already seated and just waiting for the show to start but the rain fell. Seats are first come, first served. Show time is at 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm in the Amphitheater.
With nothing much left to do, we rode the voice guided tram. It took us for a 40 minute ride around the zoo. I saw a lot of animals. All were not caged. My camera was not able to take a decent photo because of poor lighting.
AC and I
with AC's cousin, Jo and AC's parents
The animals were so near that I can actually smell them lol It was such a fantastic experience seeing the animals up close. We capped the night by having our dinner at a local restaurant near our hotel.
