For two consecutive Sundays, my family and I ate in two different hot pot restaurants. We were definitely addicted! You can read my Korean hot pot post here. Ganso-Shabuway is a newly-opened Japanese Style Hot Pot in Power Plant Mall, Rockwell Center. It has branches in Greenbelt 5 and Alabang Town Center.

- 2 cups of rice
- 2 sets of dipping sauce (Sesame & Ponzu)
- Choice of broth (traditional Seaweed or Spicy Miso)

Choose your own adventure broth: Plain Miso
- Traditional Seaweed Broth - a basic seaweed & water broth that is extremely rich in Umami, which enhances the natural flavors of the meats and vegetables.
- Original Spicy Miso Broth (Mild / Spicy / Extra Spicy)- original spicy broth made by carefully blending various types of miso, spices and vegetables. The spices add zest, the miso adds depth while mellowing the spiciness
- Half & Half- Traditional Seaweed Broth and Original Spicy Miso Broth
Sesame & Ponzu Dipping Sauce
I was not able to try the sweet & sour Ponzu Sauce for fear of upsetting my stomach. Sesame is a peanut-like, creamy sauce which I love. Be sure to add generous serving of chopped garlic in it ; )
USDA Meyer Natural Angus Beef
There are other Beef Sets available like USDA Choice Angus Set (120g) for only PhP 395 and Wagyu Beef Set which starts at PhP895 for 150g.
The beef are prepared and machine sliced as you order so you can be assured of high-quality fresh meat. The meat is tender.
Japanese hot pot is something new to us. I hope I can drag DH in Power Plant Mall soon so he can give this restaurant a try ; )
Ganso-Shabuway was conceptualized by Eiichi Mochizuki & Koji Kikura in San Mateo, California USA. It began operating in August 2004. The term "Shabuway " means "The road to Shabu Shabu for Shabu Shabu Lovers".
