Breakfast at Spiral

Our Club Millesime room came with a buffet breakfast for two. We have a choice to dine at the Lounge or at Spiral. We chose the latter. The buffet starts at 6:30 am so we woke up early the next day to enjoy the sumptuous cuisines the restaurant has to offer.

The second we entered the restaurant, it was already bustling with diners. Most patrons were families and business executives having their morning cup of coffee. We were ushered to our table located near La Veranda.

Hello! Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese New Year to all! Anyway, I though of sharing this post today because it happened last January 1, 2013 (New Year) in Kinosaki, Japan.

In my previous post, I related about the loud banging on our door early in the morning. It was one of the chambermaids. Really?! I can't believe she would be knocking at 7 in the morning. We thought we scheduled the breakfast at 8am... darn!

While one chambermaid was busy rolling away the futon bed, the other one was busy preparing and setting up our breakfast laid out on top of the tatami mat. The tray you see above is just for one person.

Don't be confused! I know I wrote about celebrating my birthday in Sariwon, Bonifacio High Street Central. What I didn't tell you is that I had lunch that day with my neighbor and fellow blogger Rowena in Torch.

The restaurant is located along Connecticut St. You will not miss it because it is housed within the huge Home Studio Building. Be sure to be there early as parking slots are limited. 

Anyway, with only PhP1000 gift certificate on hand, we decided to just share whatever we order. I am a rice person so ordering a rice topping is a must. 

Salpicao Tenders is only served between 7:00 am to 10:30 am with complimentary bottomless House Blend Coffee. Since our visit was for blogging purposes, we were allowed to order a plate of sauteed US Angus beef tenderloin cubes with egg and garlic rice. Our verdict: Very Satisfactory. The beef was tender, almost melt in your mouth kind. No coffee was served.

Day 2: Yoga at 8 a.m. in Anvaya Cove

I woke up the next day hoping for a sunny day! Well, it was not exactly sunny but it did not rain as much as the day before. My friends were able to frolic on the sand, swim in the pool and eat, eat, eat!

The pool area is really big. I was not able to count how many swimming pools connected to each other. Even though there were plenty of people swimming, there was room for everybody. 

Can you see the tower bar on the background? We climbed the stairs up to the fifth floor the night before and could see nothing hahaha All those steps for nothing because it was raining. I am sure, on normal days, you can see a lot of stars at night. 

Delifrance Christmas gift packages!

My family and I are loyal customers of Delifrance, I even took the Chicken Bourbon Challenge hehe It is my dad's favorite restaurant and almost every Sunday, if our schedule permits, we have our breakfast over there after our morning walk. And dad's order would always be Breakfast Deluxe Tray with Ciabatta bread and strawberry jam ; )

I was excited when I got an invite to sample Delifrance's Christmas offerings! And they have a lot, I tell you!

Yummy! That's what I can say with Delifrance's Premium English Fruitcake. Different nuts, cherries and prunes were on top of the cake. To my delight, unlike any commercial cakes available, this cake was moist and didn't scrimp on ingredients.
