Cook your own: Chinese Adobo

my version of chinese adobo


soy sauce, garlic and brown sugar


What you need:

Bounty Fresh chicken adobo cut PhP180
half a cup of Coconut Brand soy sauce
generous amount of chopped garlic
1 table spoon of brown sugar
star anise (optional)

In a bowl, put soy sauce, garlic and stir in the brown sugar. Put chicken. wait for an hour or so.

sautee garlic in a little bit of oil

put in chicken in medium heat; brown the chicken meat; put star anise on top

save the remaining sauce


Add a little bit of water and the remaining sauce into the pan. Cook till the chicken is tender. Preparation and cooking time approximately two hours.
