I would like to think that at my age, 33, I have chosen and selected quite a few trusted friends. Friends who see beyond your status in life, your quirks, the mood you are in, and basically friends who accept you as you are. No qualms or pretensions.
I recently realized that you can see through a friend's real value when you are confronted without hesitation. Without thinking of circumstances, involving other people around you and hitting you where you are hurt most.
Yes, after many years, I finally learned my lesson. And I have learned it the hard and painful way.
