Chinese New Year dinner with family at Kimono Ken!

My visit: February 14, 2010

It was busy day/ night for restaurants that night! Thanks to the commercialization and hype brought by Valentine's Day!

We went out for dinner at Kimono Ken with my side of the family for a Chinese New Year celebration which incidentally falls on the same day as Valentine's day!

Kimono Ken is a safe choice for a Japanese restaurant. They serve cheap and good Japanese cuisine. Two qualities that would attract budget conscious people.

Our orders:

When on a budget, Kimono Ken answers your hunger pangs. It's a no nonsense Japanese restaurant. The service is fast even though it is a full house and my family and I are seated on the second floor. The beef is tender and cooked just right meaning no blood lol My dad has to order another uni or sea urchin aside from the set that he had ordered, topmost picture . He and my DS liked it a lot.

With most of my favorite Japanese restaurant like Nippon and Kagayaki gone in Tomas Morato area save for Omakase, I feel that Kimono Ken will be my go to restaurant if I am gonna be craving for Japanese food.
