Hair Color Experience at Hair Asia

My visit: July 23, 2011

Hair Asia
35 Judge Jimenez St.,
Kamuning, Quezon City
9269480 415ASIA

DH and I have passed by the humungous facade of Hair Asia several times in the past. A huge tarpaulin ad is placed outside with services and corresponding rate written on it. When my friends and I were on our way to Trinoma and passed by the salon, I told them that the salon intrigues me and how I wanted to check it out.

I was persuading DH to try the salon's PhP100 hair cut because even if he goes to a salon with a   PhP500 price tag, the style and cut remains the same. One night, DH came home sporting a new hair cut. I learned that he had his hair cut at Hair Asia for PhP200. Apparently, the PhP100 hair cut is done by a junior stylist. DH went with the senior stylist, Raymond.

If you have been following me over FaceBook or Twitter, you know that I have been thinking of coloring my hair ever since I was told that I have white hairs sticking out of my head. Yikes! I have been researching about products and inquiring rates in several salons. It cross my mind to apply my own hair color at home but that would be scary for a first timer like myself. My gawd! I can't imagine I even think of strawberry blond as my new hair color! hahaha Well, my hair color turned out exactly the way I wanted. Read more after the break...

Tony and Jackey Salon: Setting Perm

The entire content of this entry has been transferred in my new blogxoxo MrsMartinez visit the link here.

My visit: December 24, 2010

I accompanied DH for a haircut at Bang's Tony and Jackey. The franchise is now owned and managed by another Korean named Bang. After his haircut, DH asked me if I miss my curls. To give you a background, it has been almost three years since my last perm. He knew I wanted to have my curls back. But without any promo, a Digital/Setting Perm would cost around PhP 8000 including cut and treatment.

Package B Aqua setting perm PhP 3000

While DH was paying at the reception table he saw a flier, written on it was a promotion for setting perm. Thank goodness!

But we already have a scheduled lunch date at Kikufuji in Little Tokyo. I was advised by a Filipino assistant that I should come back not later than 3pm to avoid being rushed as the salon will close at 7pm. Having my hair permed thrice already, I know that the procedure will take some time so I set an appointment at 2pm.

Shuji Kida BANGS!

And so, after 30 minutes or so at Shuji Kida Hair Salon, I went home with an even bangs. The junior hair stylist, Orvelle, kept on explaining as to why my bangs was cut unevenly last Sunday. I just nodded and agreed and he kept going on and on. Maybe he thought that I am mad- I'm not! As long as he can fix my hair/bangs.

I'll post a decent picture soon!

Shuji Kida Hair Salon

My visit: June 13, 2010

Shuji Kida Hair Salon

338 Ortigas Ave.,
Greenhills, San Juan

I had the longest hair cut last Sunday at Shuji Kida in Greenhills. My friend AC and I finally settled for Shuji Kida after learning that Tony and Jackey's PhP300 haircut promo is now back to PhP500 and Louis Philip Kee was not in his shop that day plus they charge PhP800 haircut done by an apprentice.

AC had a good experience the last time she got her Shuji Kida haircut. Too bad her stylist now charged PhP600. We both settled for a PhP400 haircut by an apprentice. If you want the 29 year old Japanese guy to cut your hair prepare to shell out  PhP2, 500. I am not ready to part my PhP2, 500 haha

One day only! Free haircut all day!

When I was in the Quezon city last Saturday, I noticed that Tony & Jackey had a new branch in NS Amoranto formerly Retiro. DH and I checked out the place and it was not yet open. On a piece of bond paper, taped on a glass door, was a sign that said about a free haircut on opening day- June 22 10am.

What luck! I immediately texted C and asked her if she would want to avail of the freebie. And she responded YES!

We were already at the venue around 10 am and we got a parking space at the basement of the building. When we approach the receptionist on the second floor, we were surprised that many clients were earlier than us and already availing the free haircut. All the staffs were busy attending customers. We got our numbers 12 and 13. In less than 30 minutes, our hair was already being shampooed, trimmed and layered.

with Karen, our stylist

We picked Karen, our stylist, because she cuts with precision and we saw gorgeous hair results from other customers.

C and I are very happy with the result of our haircut. I might be coming back to this branch because Shine and Sunny, who both curled my hair, went back to Korea and are not connected in their Tomas Morato branch anymore.
