Hair Color Experience at Hair Asia

My visit: July 23, 2011

Hair Asia
35 Judge Jimenez St.,
Kamuning, Quezon City
9269480 415ASIA

DH and I have passed by the humungous facade of Hair Asia several times in the past. A huge tarpaulin ad is placed outside with services and corresponding rate written on it. When my friends and I were on our way to Trinoma and passed by the salon, I told them that the salon intrigues me and how I wanted to check it out.

I was persuading DH to try the salon's PhP100 hair cut because even if he goes to a salon with a   PhP500 price tag, the style and cut remains the same. One night, DH came home sporting a new hair cut. I learned that he had his hair cut at Hair Asia for PhP200. Apparently, the PhP100 hair cut is done by a junior stylist. DH went with the senior stylist, Raymond.

my mahogany brown hair

If you have been following me over FaceBook or Twitter, you know that I have been thinking of coloring my hair ever since I was told that I have white hairs sticking out of my head. Yikes! I have been researching about products and inquiring rates in several salons. It cross my mind to apply my own hair color at home but that would be scary for a first timer like myself. My gawd! I can't imagine I even think of strawberry blond as my new hair color! hahaha Well, my hair color turned out exactly the way I wanted. Read more after the break...

L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Night Essence... a secret no more!

Hi everyone!

I hope all of you are doing great ; )

First, sorry because I have been delinquent in posting updates on my blog for the past couple of weeks. I know you are very eager for an update. Well, I just made a post about the 2nd Philippine International Pyromusical Competitionyou might want to check it out.

Getting on with business, I have been receiving a lot of queries through email and on FaceBook about the secret in maintaining my curls that I decided to make a post about it. People often have a wrong connotation for curly hair. Most people think that it's very hard to maintain which I beg to disagree. I have super fine and limp hair all my life. Ever since I curled my hair back in 2008, my life has changed! I get a lot of compliment and my hair is never dull. I can pull it up in a bun for a sophisticated look, put a hairband ala B in Gossip Girl or just leave my curly locks hanging for sexy, sultry look. I don't even need to comb it so it's good to go every time!

So, what's my secret? It's actually a PhP355 worth of product that could last you for a long, long time... L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Night Essence Leave-in! I know it's a leave in conditioner that's supposedly for night time use but I apply it immediately right after I towel dry my hair in the morning. The effect is gorgeous, bouncy curls!

me and my secret weapon... Total Repair 5 Night Essence- Leave In 150ml PhP355

A bottle goes a long, long way! The content dispenses through a pump. One or two pumps is enough for my bra line hair.

L'Oreal Paris Base Magique

When Mikki Galang of L'Oreal Philippines handed me Base Magique, he whispered that it's a very nice product.

L'Oreal Base Magique PhP945

OMG! He wasn't kidding! It wasn't just a nice product, it really delivers what it promises- L'Oreal Base Magique smooths skin surface!

L'Oreal White Perfect experience!

L'Oreal Paris Dermo- Expertise has recently introduced the White Perfect line. It comprises of White Perfect Transparent Rosy Whitening Fairness Control Moisturizing Cream with SPF17 for day time use and White Perfect Transparent Rosy Whitening Fairness Revealing Soothing Cream for night time use.

L'Oreal White Perfect Night PhP575 and L'Oreal White Perfect Day SPF17 PhP595

I have the products with me for more than a month now but I was only able to use it only two weeks ago since I was using Obagi Nu Derm line before that.

This is my routine in the morning, I skip toner after washing my face. I apply on Fairness Control Moisturizing Cream with SPF17. But I find the SPF too low so I slather on Kanebo Allie SPF50 over it. At night, after washing my face, I put on L'Oreal's White Perfect soothing night cream and that's it!

Oclipse by Obagi

I was at the Obagi Skin Care Clinic in Trinoma last October 24 to redeem my PhP5000 gift certificate. There were so much products and services to choose from but I have narrowed down my choices to Oclipse and the Vitamin C serum at 15%. Both products are priced at PhP4800 each.

Oclipse sunscreen + primer + SPF 30 + UVA/ UVB protection PhP4800

I tried and tested the Obagi Vitamin C serum. It lacked the instant tightness/firmness that I am used to with The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost. I was disappointed to say the least because I am looking forward to getting it. I even blogged about it in my previous post

L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5

Yeah, I know there's only 3! I don't need the complete line of L'Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 to salvage my damaged hair haha Kidding aside, after Mikki Galang of L'Oreal Philippines handed out gift boxes with L'Oreal products, I didn't bother to look inside until I was already home. Thus, the incomplete set. But don't fret, the set I got was enough to manage my once-curly-now-damaged-hair.

L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo, Repairing Conditioner and Night Essence Leave In

Case in point, my mom was bugging me to get a hair cut since I can't remember when. Oh,  I remember, since my hair lost its curls. I have thought of chopping my hair but then I thought that I would not look sultry much plus the chubby cheeks haha Then I started sporting side braids and bun. Just look at my picture in previous posts here and here. It's a phase, you know.  And then one day, boom, she asked "Nagpagupit ka ba?" Naks, that's when it occured to me that I used L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Night Essence Leave In the night before.

L'Oreal Men Expert Pure & Matte

My event: October 11, 2010

L'Oreal
Main Office

It was a Black & White event. I came in black like most of the bloggers who graced the affair. New faces and some old ones were there to join L'Oreal Paris in launching a blogging campaign.

with the men of L'Oreal

How familiar I am with the product? Well, let's just say that this event started my love affair with L'Oreal. The event started out by playing games where my team won twice haha

Celebrating 11 years of OBAGI

My visit: October 11, 2010

Celebrating 11 years of Obagi Philippines
Museum Cafe

G/F Greenbelt 4
Makati City

OBAGI is synonymous with beauty. Dr. Zein Obagi, founder/ world renowned dermatologist, changed the face of skin care.

I first heard about Obagi through a friend who long have suffered from acne problems during her puberty years. Dramatic changed was seen after using Obagi.

Last Monday, I was invited to a small gathering of beauty bloggers to celebrate Obagi's 11 years in the Philippines and to learn more about Obagi.

with Aimee DeMarais and Jeff Sinclair, director of Asia Pacific sales

The event started out with good food from M Cafe. International trainor for Obagi product, Aimee gave a brief description on Obagi. A simple Q and A followed.

Now, I am excited. I am vain and I want to know more about my skin and the remedies Obagi product can do.
