Solaire Resort & Casino Food Court

Solaire Resort & Casino
1 Solaire Boulevard
Entertainment City
Metro Manila

I have heard/read of so many outrageous stories about the prices on the menu of the fine dining restaurants found in Solaire. One even mentioned that he knows somebody who claimed to have paid PhP 250,000 just for dinner - they were a group of 10.

So, just to be on the safe side, we didn't bother to dine in one of the elegant restaurants when we visited Solaire for the first time. We looked for its Food Court instead ; p

Sweet & Sour Pork PhP 200

The food court is divided into six sections: Sapporo (obviously, Japanese food), Pan Asian (SouthEast Asian cuisine), Hong Kong, Chicken Licken (I read it serves very good roasted chicken), Americano and Patisserie.

Anyway, the minute I saw Sweet & Sour Pork on the menu, I told DH that's what I want. I can't think of anything else because it was already late in the afternoon and I was already very hungry- we went there right after we check-out from Sofitel.

It was not the best Sweet & Sour Pork that I have tasted, Ling Nam tasted better but it was good enough to satisfy my hunger pangs.

Char Siew Bowl PhP 210

Char Siew Bowl was also ordered from Hong Kong Station. It was the lamest Char Siew I have ever seen/tasted. It was dry and soggy looking. It was supposed to be DH's lunch but he lost his appetite when he saw it ; p

Hong Kong Iced Tea PhP 80

The only saving grace in Hong Kong Station is its iced tea ; p It was pretty expensive though for its size.

Miso Ramen Beef PhP 190

DH ordered a bowl of Miso Ramen Beef from Sapporo. This order was way better than the other two in terms of presentation and taste.

After eating, I realized that what I read/heard is true---> everything in Solaire is expensive! What?! A 500ml Summit Mineral Water costs PhP 50 ; (

Combi Compact Cooking Set

For the first time, I was able to use Combi Baby Label Compact Cooking Set. It was a gift from my favorite PR company. I am happy that I was able to bring it with me during our trip to Solaire.

How was your Solaire experience?
