Last Wednesday, I covered the awarding ceremony of HSBC's Five Outstanding Principals in Shangri-la Makati. The principals were chosen among HSBC Principals Leadership Enhancement and Development Program (PLP) participants who underwent rigorous training during a series of conferences that tackled leadership, management, professional development and human resource issues. Since its inception, it has trained 200 principals from various schools all over the Philippines in three separate batches.

Honoree are (3rd from left) Aurora Marcelino of P. "We at HSBC are pleased to honor these five remarkable principals who lived up to the PLP mission of making significant impact to their schools," says HSBC President and CEO Tony Cripps. "They displayed exemplary leadership and has show how they can be effective CEOs of their schools in accordance with the best-practice strategies learned from the PLP conference."

Following up on the successful fun run held for the first time last year, HSBC decided to make it an annual event. HSBC, the world's local bank, has been doing business in the Philippines for almost 136 years. As part of its advocacy, all proceeds for this year's run will be donated to Sa Aklat Sisikat Foundation (SAS).

SAS is a not-for-profit, accredited, professional Philippine organization that promotes that love and habit of reading in Filipino Children. It aims to build a nation of readers.

OOTD at Ayala Triangle Makati

I was in Makati last Friday together with my parents in support of my sister who graduated Valedictorian in the 5th PSE- ATENEO Certified Securities Specialist Course (PSE-Ateneo CSSC). Anyway, we were there 3 hours prior to the event. While waiting, we ate at Chef Laudico's BFAST and collected my free drinks courtesy of HSBC credit card in Starbucks.

It was my first ever event from HSBC and I am uber excited! Animetric and I went there in tandem. Skysenshi was already seated front and center when we arrived. I saw huge red gift boxes and paper bags with red ribbons scattered on stage. I said to myself "Wow!" The color theme of the day- RED. And guess what? I came dressed in red too! lol
