Baptismal Dress from Periwinkle

As early as May, I was already preparing for my daughter's upcoming birthday party. I was so preoccupied with the party's venue and dealing with different suppliers that I have forgotten to book a church for her baptism which will be held on the same day as her birthday party ; p I know, I was negligent.

Anyway, the good news is, I already booked a church... yey!

Periwinkle Ujana (H11) All White Dress 50% off PhP 1,725.00 862.50

While I was looking for a party dress (we have a kiddie party to attend this Saturday), I saw this all white dress from Periwinkle at 50% off. This is perfect because the church's requirement is to have the child wear an all white or beige clothes. Another problem solved ; )

DIY Anniversary Surprise (Verleo Catering & Pastry Princess)

This 2013 marks my 10th year wedding anniversary with DH. Since I am the mushy one in our relationship, I want to make the celebration extra special for my best friend, my partner in crime and my soul mate so I surprised him with an elaborate dinner not just for two but for our entire family!

DH and I celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary

I planned the whole surprise 10th wedding anniversary in less than a week. Yes, from ordering a cake to calling a caterer. It really helps if you are "best friends" with the caterer lol I really wanted to bring over a priest to officiate/ bless us as a couple but I was out of luck. I guess I am pushing too hard already ; p

Anyway, read more after the break...

Greenwich Better Than Any Other Christmas Party!

November 29, 2012

Greenwich Better Than Any Other Xmas
Makati Shangri-la Hotel

Last November 29, I attended two events in one day. The first was the launching of DKNY Be Delicious Eau So Intense and after a couple of hours, I went to Greenwich Better Than Any Other Xmas party ; ) It was a night filled with fun games, entertainment (Anne sang a Christmas song ; p ) and raffle prizes. It was also a star-studded night because most of the celebrity endorsers were present. I said most because John Lloyd Cruz did not grace the occasion ; ( It would have been perfect if JLC attended the said event ; p

my "Greenwich Barkada"- Cookie, Tin, me, Rowena and Franco

I love attending Greenwich events because the people behind the brand are always so warm and accommodating especially Ms. Cookie Cabrera, PR and Corporate Affairs Manager of Greenwich Pizza Corporation - JFC.

"This Christmas get-together is our way of showing our heartfelt gratitude to out friends from the press," said Cookie Cabrera. "They play an important role in helping us get our messages across our market and in making Filipinos aware of our latest offerings."

With our huge smile, we can passed as the official endorsers of Greenwich Barkada. What do you think? hahaha

Home Improvement: Komodo Teak Wood Garden Set

Remember my Cafe Juanita entry? We ate there that night because we just came from Komodo Artscrafts Inc. in Pioneer St., Mandaluyong where we placed a 50% down payment for a round garden table and four traditional stackable armchair. We have been eyeing their outdoor garden set for quite some time - by that I mean from the moment we acquired our home which was more than 5 years ago ; p

 Komodo teak wood

It was finally delivered last June 15. I was so excited. If you are a follower on twitter and facebook, you should have already seen a few of the photos that I took of the garden set.

By the way, I specially requested for the cast-iron like logo to be placed on all the items that we bought. I was told that all the new furniture do not carry them anymore. I gave my best doe-eyed look to Irene who was very accommodating despite the fact that we were there 15 minutes before closing time, she said she will request it from their head office. I am very happy that the logo found its way to my garden set.

Nestle Fitnesse... now is the best time to shape up!

My event: February 23, 2012

Nestle Fitness Shape Up Your Lifestyle
Featuring Zumba Fitness
Top of the Citi by Chef Jessie
34/ F Citibank Tower
8741 Paseo de Roxas,
Makati City

I am addicted to Zumba! In fact, I am currently enrolled in one of the studios near my house. When I got an invite to attend a fitness event featuring a Zumba class, how can I say no?

a bowl of Nestle Fitnesse Honey & Almonds with apricot and cranberries

Whole grain food, such as Nestle Fitnesse cereal makes you feel fuller longer because it is high in volume and low-calorie density.

While waiting for the event to start, we were treated to a healthy breakfast courtesy of Nestle Fitnesse. Three choices were available- Low Fat Whole Grain Cereal, Fitnesse &  Fruit and Honey & Almond. The cereal was complemented by Nestle Low Fat 100% Fresh Cow's Milk and some dried fruits and nuts. This was a nice alternative to my usual bread with peanut butter breakfast ; p

Celebrating Birthday Pinoy Henyo Style 2011

The celebration lasted for a month! I am finally down to my last post about my birthday party. For a change, this year Cherie and I celebrated our birthdays in her new home. Yey!

posing with our birthday cake

All the while we thought most of our friends couldn't make it. Some texted in that they already have a schedule for the night and some even complained how far the venue was. You know who you are ; p But the most important thing is that everybody turned up that night!

Eric Teng and his Mango Tree Bistro

My event: May 23, 2010

Birthday celebration of Eric Teng
Mango Tree Bistro
Trinoma Mall

Select bloggers, media personalities and friends were invited during the celebration of the birthday of Mr. Eric Teng. He is the man behind the successful ventures such as Maldita, a clothing company and Mango Tree Bistro. Naturally, he celebrated in his own restaurant. And boy, was I glad because it's one of the few dining places in Trinoma that we go back to. In fact, you can view my first visit here

Grapow Moo PhP280

Pictured above is a spicy minced pork. I tell you, they were not kidding when they put the word "spicy" next to minced pork. DH who is from Bicol, a province known for all things spicy, commented that this dish is really, really spicy! It's best paired with rice.

Australian Lamb Chops in Zucchini's Quezon City

My visit: May 2, 2011

20 Scout Tuason corner Scout Castor Sts.,
Quezon City
4155533   3765896

I always wanted DH to surprise me whenever my birthday comes. And yes, I am usually surprised because he doesn't make any restaurant reservation haha

We were supposed to dine in Lemuria in Horseshoe Drive but when DH called that day he found out that the restaurant is close every Monday. Lucky him because last I heard Lemuria is a pretty expensive restaurant hehe I was in fact shocked that he considered dining there.

Zucchini's Australian lamb chops with apple mashed potato and mint sauce PhP1350

We eventually ended up in Zucchin's. It was not our first time to dine in this restaurant. In fact, we were able to try out their steak back in their old location in Timog.

I like fine dining restaurants because of the ambiance. It's like having your own private nook even though just a few steps away from you there is another table.

Their Australian lamb chops is quite expensive. I would rather eat in Spiral, Sofitel Hotel. For a few peso more, I get unlimited serving of lamb chops and a buffet to boot. Or I can never ever forget my lamb chops in La Reserve, a French, air conditioned restaurant in Boracay. The lamb chops are succulent, juicy and yummy for just half the price.

I like the unique taste of apple mashed potato on the side though. Tiny bits of apple are mixed in with mashed potatoes. It's my first time to try it and I like the combination.

Birthday celebration at Classic Confections!

My visit: May 2, 2011

Classic Confections
2/F Greenbelt 5
Legaspi St., Legaspi Village
Makati

Franco and Cookie from Bridges, a PR company, treated me and Rowena for lunch on my birthday. Cyma was a unanimous choice for lunch. The Roka Salata is so good that we ended up ordering 2 haha After our hearty lunch, we went to Classic Confections because according to Franco I have to have a  birthday cake. A birthday will not be complete if I don't blow a candle. How sweet!

Yummy cheesecake as my birthday cake weeee! I should really lose some weight now haha

Fashionista: My niece in Quick Brown Fox

I am featuring my niece, Sophie, who I saw at a twin's birthday party  that I have attended a couple of weeks ago. She is a 4 year old darling! It was so nice of her to pose and smile for camera. I took several shots and finally settled on the picture below right not because she was moving or hard to capture but other people kept ruining our shots lol Good thing, my niece is such a pro and still manage to give her best smile in each take.

Remember When... Jollibee party!

My visit: August 9, 2009

It's my hilaw na inaanak's birthday party! Sadly, I was not able to take his picture but instead I got excited when I saw Jollibee lol I totally forgot about him. DH was even saying that I acted like a child- all excited about the mascot. Only to be disappointed because the mascot smelled terribly bad. Parang di natuyo ang amoy!

jollibee

Oh, I even took a video of Jollibee dancing its theme song but sadly, the recording was set 2x faster than normal. So all I got when I played it back was like watching a fast forward movie lol

When was the last time you attended a Jollibee party?

My day

I was so busy playing Friends For Sale (FFS) on Facebook (FB) when DH told me that we have to pick our car that's on repair in Honda. While waiting inside the car for DH, I took a snapshot of myself.

 birthday girl

DH saw a write up in Inquirer newspaper about a thai restaurant in Greenbelt 5 but sad to say, we were not able to find it. We were so hungry and decided to enter the restaurant with the most number of diners. John and Yoko un restaurant na kasamaang palad eh consistent sya in the sense na consistent sa pagiging overprice. Parang un quality ng food eh pang Tokyo Tokyo level hahaha Hindi pala mas ok pa ang Tokyo Tokyo. More on this restaurant later.

It's my birthday~

Today is my birthday! I don't have a party for a change though I might go out with my ex-BF that's for sure! I know... I should not but what can I do. He is still irresistible and cutest guy I have met in my whole life. So, when he told me that he will go to the office on Friday instead of Saturday, my special day, to spend the rest of the day with me, I totally agreed and felt like a princess.

Geez... I'll post our date pic later.

Meanwhile, I had three pre- birthday parties. The first two were from different group of friends who are really close to my heart. And the last one was with my family.

The first, on April 26, 2009 was with my barkada way back in college. It is nice to see our group pic growing in size each year! CML and I celebrated together ;p

party #1 birthday gals, CML and I;group pic at Buon Giorno, Tagaytay

The second was with my 'sis' C and yoga buddy , LL. I surprised them with a visit last Saturday, May 1. Priceless was the shock on their faces and the double take they did when they saw me while practicing haha

Precious' 3rd Birthday!

Last August 27, Precious celebrated her 3rd birthday! Although she didn't have a party, we still celebrated her birthday with candle blowing and picture taking. Only Apple was her guest that night. Here are some pictures...
