Last Saturday, DH and I were looking for a new restaurant to try in Quezon City. Most of the restaurants were full and were not accepting diners anymore. By 8:30pm, we finally found a decent place to eat- Buenisimo by Cafe Ysabel. It is a fairly new restaurant along Sct. Tuason beside Chic Nails where I had my nails done a few weeks ago.
Grape Salad with White Cheese PhP 278
Red/Green Grapes, Grilled Laguna White Cheese, Capers, Olives and Balsami Vinaigrette
Luckily for us, there were a few unoccupied tables when we arrived. We were seated on a couch next to a family of four. The waiter/waitress and even the guard were extra helpful with our things- we were supposed to bring in the stroller. I decided we we won't be needing it because there are several high chairs available ; )
Anyway, our orders came out in succession, within a few minutes after placing it... yey! I love how the kitchen staff work on the presentation of each dish (see the photos). I give it an 8 ; )
What about the taste, you ask? It surprisingly tastes as good as it looks.

Nice pairing! I love the dipping sauce which is a mix of different herbs. I like it so much I asked for a second serving ; p
Truffle Scented Wild Mushroom soup PhP 218
White Truffle Oil, Truffle Paste, Wild Mushrooms, Creme
By far, the best mushroom soup I have tried! There's bits of mushrooms in every spoonful of soup, definitely did not scrimp on ingredients. I also love the fried string of onions on top!
Lamb Shank with Garlic Mashed Potatoes PhP 538
I always order lamb whenever I see it on the menu. By the way, don't let the picture deceive you, it is actually bigger than it appears in the photo ; p
The lamb meat is tender, just the way I like it. This dish comes with a side salad and sliced grapes. We took home at least half of our order, I told you it is big.

Crackling Pork Ribs PhP 428
Crispy Pork, Cilantro Garlic Rice, Pepperccorn
Crackling Pork Ribs is another dish that is good for sharing. I find the meat a bit dry which is usually the case because it was deep fried. But anyway, DH ate it with gusto. He was not able to finished this dish though so we took home the rest. Ate the left over next day ; )
Crunchy Garlic, Peppercorn Gravy and Cranberry Jelly
A tray of crunchy garlic, peppercorn gravy and cranberry jelly was served along with Crackling Pork ribs.
Buenisimo! Shake PhP 175
One must order a fresh fruit shake so I did! And Buenisimo it is! Ripe mango, passion fruit and mint- what a delight!
Buenisimo by Cafe Ysabel also serves coffee and desserts. Can't wait to try it on my next visit!
