Day 6 is all about Osaka! First on the itinerary was to visit Osaka Castle Park. The park is filled with 1,250 Japanese plum trees and about 4,500 cherry trees. Too bad we were there during winter. It would have been nice to visit during Cherry Blossom (Sakura) season.

Osaka Castle

It was a long walk towards the castle. We didn't mind because along the way, we were able to take some good photos of the park.

Day 7 (2nd day DIY Seoul Tour)

Lotte World
40-1, Songpa- Ku Chamshil- dong,
Seoul, Korea
02- 4112000

Weekday: 9:30am to 7:30pm
Weekend: 9:30am to 8:30pm

We were already in Lotte World around 11:30am but decided to wait until it was 4pm before buying a ticket. The After4 Special Pass entrance fee is cheaper- W23, 000 (PhP 920) per person ; p

There were ticket booths/ticket vending machines located on all 4 levels. It was not even weekend- it's Thursday but the line was really long when we got there. We saw a lot of tourists flocked near the entrance and also visitors in their teens plus families with kids in tow. We assumed that the waiting time for rides is going to be longer in the morning than in the afternoon.

welcome to Lotte World

While waiting, we had lunch at Lotteria. It's like Korea's version of McDonald's. We spent like W5, 900 (PhP236) for lunch- a meal consisting of a burger, fries & drink. We shared 1 order ; p Pa sweet effect! The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping looking around  Lotte Department Store and Shopping Mall for cheap finds.

I am alternating my posts between how I spent my Holy Week and my birthday.  I still have so much to share. It didn't help that blogger has gone bonkers yesterday.
On Black Saturday, we travelled to south of Manila to Enchanted Kingdom where the magic stays with you hehe My sister is a fast driver. With no traffic, we reached the destination in less than an hour.

my parents

I have been there several times so has my mom and my sister but it's my dad's first time. We wanted him to see the place. We are all scaredy cats so we opted to pay just the entrance fee or what they call the carousel ticket. Each ticket costs PhP150. Senior discount is applicable. Our tickets allowed us to roam around the park grounds and have unlimited access to Grand Carousel, Bumnling Boulders and Boulderville Express. Unfortunately, we were not able to ride Bumbling Boulders because it opens at 3pm. We were already on our way back to Manila then.

Singapore Chronicle: Day 2

Universal Studios
Singapore Flyer
Merlion

We booked our Universal Studios tickets online. The Filipino hotel receptionist gave us a tip on how to get to Universal Studios for free. At the pick up area which is right outside our hotel, we just have to show our printed tickets to the bus driver and just hop on the bus... it's that simple!

We arrived very early and had an hour or so to roam around the vicinity. We took pictures of the signage, mandatory hehe And the stores near the entrance. To view more pictures with the characters, click here

Day 2

I have my reliable Canon Ixus 860IS throughout my Singapore trip. I am so glad I brought it with me. I took the photo below while my capsule was on the topmost part of the Singapore Flyer. The view was exhilarating!

 view from the top

I am afraid of heights. When AC and I were in Taipei a couple of years ago, I couldn't even ride Miramar Ferris Wheel which is 70 meters tall. Taller than London Eye (135 meters), Singapore Flyer stands 165 meters and can accommodate 786 people at a time. A capsule as big as a bus has a capacity of 28 pax. A cycle is approximately 30 minutes.

Remember When... Jollibee mascots!

Lately, I have been attending kiddie parties held at different fast food chain. Awhile back, I was in Shakey's. Just last weekend, I was invited to langhap- sarap Jollibee for the birthday of my friend's son.

jollibee and me

I remember how I used to love Jollibee as a kid. I don't think I ever held any of my birthdays there though.

Do you have a pic with Jollibee?
