When we went to Tagaytay Highlands last Holy Week, I checked-in at The Spa & Lodge for a one hour body massage courtesy of DH. I can't believe I have not been to a spa for over a month ; p I really need this!

lovely interior at the reception area

Anyway, I made a reservation the night before and found out that the only slot available was 9pm and only for a one hour massage ; ( The spa was fully booked; I really want to get pampered so to make the long story short, I took the remaining slot available.

That night, in my excitement, I asked DH to drive me over to the spa 30 minutes before my appointed time.

The Highlander Steakhouse in Tagaytay

Happy Easter to all!

Last Maundy Thursday, my family and I trooped to Tagaytay for some R&R. We rented one house inside The Villas in Tagaytay Highlands for two nights. As usual, I was tasked to make the itinerary for next three days. One of the restaurants on my list is The Highlander Steakhouse.

Making a reservation is not an easy task. I tried calling on Wednesday to book a table for 8 but the line was either busy or routed to a fax.

So, the first thing we did upon arriving in Highlands was to make a reservation. The receptionist told me that the restaurant is only accepting walk-ins, all reservation slots were already taken... bummer!

Were we able to get a table? Find out after the break...

I am alternating my posts between how I spent my Holy Week and my birthday.  I still have so much to share. It didn't help that blogger has gone bonkers yesterday.
On Black Saturday, we travelled to south of Manila to Enchanted Kingdom where the magic stays with you hehe My sister is a fast driver. With no traffic, we reached the destination in less than an hour.

my parents

I have been there several times so has my mom and my sister but it's my dad's first time. We wanted him to see the place. We are all scaredy cats so we opted to pay just the entrance fee or what they call the carousel ticket. Each ticket costs PhP150. Senior discount is applicable. Our tickets allowed us to roam around the park grounds and have unlimited access to Grand Carousel, Bumnling Boulders and Boulderville Express. Unfortunately, we were not able to ride Bumbling Boulders because it opens at 3pm. We were already on our way back to Manila then.

Easter treat!

Hello! How was your weekend? I woke up last Thursday not having a single plan in my head. I even tweeted that I will most probably be staying home. Without an advance booking in any resort, I am bound to stay home the entire duration of the holy week. STAYCATION that's the word haha

I was starting to feel bummed because I have zero plan for Holy week. I know, it should be a time for reflection of one's sin but everybody's on vacation mode. I need to get out of the house. I miss the beach, the sun minus my freckles showing up haha Not exactly what I got because instead of a beach, my family and I checked-in to Edsa Shangri- la Manila.

We stayed overnight in the Garden Wing which is PhP500 more expensive than the other rooms of the same category. No view, just the street below, the additional payment doesn't give justice to what we got.

The room has a king sized bed plus a sofa bed. We didn't use the sofa bed instead requested for an extra bed with a thicker cushion and lots and lots of pillows hehe Complimentary broadband internet and wi-fi inside our room weeeeee!

Our stay at the hotel was not bad because I get to swim for two days! I need to burn those calories from all the food I ate. Pool is open from 6am to 9pm. Pool towels are available upon request.

A total of 4 pax is allowed per room to use its spa facilities like sauna, steam, hot & cold jacuzzi and also the gym.
