Spareribs Rice at Le Ching Tea House in Greenhills

January 28, 2013

Le Ching Too
Ground Floor, Shoppesville
Greenhills Shopping Center

I can't believe I have not blogged about one of my favorite comfort food in the metro!!! When my siblings and I were younger, we often dine in Le Ching. I think I even influenced a few of my college girl friends to hang out in Le Ching if our school load permitted it.

 Spareribs Rice PhP 148

I almost always order Spareribs Rice. It still tasted the same - juicy and meaty. I always feel that I am eating healthy food because I think the spareribs were steamed. Oh, just correct me if I am wrong lol

Read what my parents ordered after the break...

Remember When: Dragon Noodle Center in Malate

Do you have a childhood memory of your favorite restaurant that your family used to frequent to? Well, I do and it's Dragon Noodle Center located in Malate, Manila. Actually, I have written a post about it before, you can view it here. Admittedly, I took lousy photos. Photos which I am not so proud of ; p Instead of updating the post, I am now writing a new one ; p

 asado with rice PhP140

After rediscovering it back in 2009, I usually find myself back in this restaurant whenever I am in Manila.

For only PhP 140, you will get a plateful of asado with sauce-pa-lang-ulam-na ; p Now, all you need is an order of extra rice so you can now share this order with your best friend.

This dish is exactly how I remembered it back in those days ; )

Golden Bay Fresh Seafoods Restaurant offers 50% off dim sum!

My visit: September 10, 2011

Block A2 CBP
Diosdado Macapagal Blvd.,
Pasay City
5567525   5567527   8040332

DH and I ate in Golden Bay right after we send-off my DSIL to the airport. At 11 a.m., we were the first customers for the day. I saw in the paper handout that there was an ongoing promotion.

All 72 dimsum selection including congee, dumpling, desserts, rice roll and cake are 50% off until September 30, 2011. Of course, we didn't order all 72. We only ordered 9 lol

 xo radish cake PhP72.50

First on the list, xo radish cake. This dish is quite hot because of the xo sauce but very crispy and delicious. We were not able to finish this order because we ordered a lot for two persons. I ate the rest of the xo radish cake with rice the next day and I can't get enough of it!

Dim Sum- a Chinese dish of small steamed of fried savory dumplings containing various fillings served as a snack or main course.

XO sauce- spicy seafood sauce.

King Chef Banawe

My visit: March 26, 2011

King Chef Banawe
989 Banawe St,
Quezon City
4104919

It has been awhile since I posted about my Saturday lunch date with DH. On our way to work, DH was attacked by his hunger pangs. We decided to eat in King Chef. A relative of ours celebrated her birthday sometime last year on the said venue so this is not my first time to eat here. But this is our first time to try their dim sum.

taosi spareribs PhP75

Appetizing to look at, I would want it to have more meat than fat though. Served hot.

Coral Garden Asia's Kitchen Goddess since 1978

My visit: October 17, 2009

Coral Garden
96 Banawe St.,
Quezon City
7121078 710255

I read about this restaurant in a blog and was also recommended by a good friend of mine. And so, one Saturday night we crossed Quezon Avenue and went to the other side of Banawe where Coral Garden is located.

I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the facade and the tiny signage which bears the restaurant's name. It's not picture friendly haha

By the time that we were ready to order, people kept coming and going. Some just take out the food and other came in groups so the whole ground floor was packed. This all happened in a short span of time to think that when we entered only a table was occupied by a family.

The restaurant is not exactly pleasing to the eye. To help you see the picture, vinyl covers one wall while the opposite wall was left without one lol Maybe their branch in Libis is better in aesthetics.

Here's what we ordered:

garlic frogs' legs PhP 275

First off, I love their frog legs specially the crunchy garlic on top. Their famous crispy bean curd is simply divine. The sauce is perfect to go with it.
