Treat your Dad at Spiral this Sunday!

This weekend is Father's Day. I would like to be the first one to greet my dad a Happy Father's Day! With that said, this coming Sunday, June 16, why not treat your dad to a gastronomic feast at Spiral's famous Sunday brunch. He might be the lucky dad who will have a chance to spin in a Maserati Granturismo.

Dads who drop their business cards get the chance to experience the adrenaline rush of driving a blue Maserati Granturismo equipped with 460 horsepower, 4.7 liter engine. Maserati's First Class Ticket to Luxury is a 15 minute test drive around Mall of Asia.

Other luxurious prizes include one dad winning a sporting evening with seven friends at Snaps as well as gifts from Azzaro perfume, Kiehl's and Vietura Aesthetic Lifestyle Institute.

Breakfast at Spiral

Our Club Millesime room came with a buffet breakfast for two. We have a choice to dine at the Lounge or at Spiral. We chose the latter. The buffet starts at 6:30 am so we woke up early the next day to enjoy the sumptuous cuisines the restaurant has to offer.

The second we entered the restaurant, it was already bustling with diners. Most patrons were families and business executives having their morning cup of coffee. We were ushered to our table located near La Veranda.

Last Tuesday, I was invited by Sofitel Philippine Plaza for an exclusive Magical Celebrations press preview showcasing its auspicious food specially prepared for celebrations such as Chinese New Year.

Executive Chinese Chef Chee Wah Mok will prepare a special Chinese menu on February 4, 17 and also on the 24th. Diners can book a private dining room in advance. Each room can accommodate 12 to a maximum of 36 persons.

It was a rainy day and I was wearing my Ondoy dress. I was crossing my fingers that what happened last year would not happen again. I had reserved a 7:30 pm table for 2. Rain kept pouring on our way to the venue. We were expecting heavy traffic but the trip lasted under one hour. Maybe many folks opted to stay at home yesterday... well and good for us ; )

At 6 pm, we were seated comfortably in a couch by the window. Dinner buffet was not served until 6:30 pm.

When I got a congratulatory letter from SPOT.ph, a Philippine based website specializing in food and events,  I was puzzled! Apparently, I won a slot in their guest list for the awarding ceremony of Nescafe Gold Spot Awards 2009: Manila's Best Restaurants!

I was curious and the blogger in me got interested and what the heck! I went and attended the event ; p

Reservation was at 7 in the evening but we were there 20 minutes earlier. Fortunately, cars were moving fast that night. Stars are with the birthday boy lol

We had buffet that night. The waiters in Spiral are much more attentive and efficient than in any other 5 star hotels that I have been too. I love that they fill the water as soon as your glass is half full. Or fold the table napkin for you when you leave your table to get more food lol And of course, taking the used plate once your done with your food.
