Cyma Mystery Diner for a Day!

January 19, 2013

Cyma Mystery Diner
Trinoma Branch

I was reluctant at first when I received an SMS from a representative of Cyma restaurant asking if I could be their Mystery Diner for a day. I asked myself "Is this some kind of a scam?", "A joke?" What?! Ok, that's what most people would ask, right? What does a Mystery Diner do?

Watermelon & Lamb Salad (To Share PhP 630)

Fresh watermelon and grilled lamb with feta cheese, black olives, sunflower seeds and fresh mint served with Cyma's Summer Herb vinaigrette

After a few SMS exchanges, I found out that it's so simple. When chosen, you and whoever you are bringing, get to eat for free and in return, you have to answer a Mystery Diner feedback form, email it back to the company and that's about it.

There's a guideline on which category (salad, appetizer, main course-new!, dessert and drink) you should order but you are free to choose whatever is under that category. For example, under salad, DH and I chose Watermelon & Lamb Salad. It's our all-time favorite so the choice is a no-brainer ; p

Breakfast at Jonah's & late lunch at Cyma

Jonah's Fruit Shake & Snack Bar
Station 1
Boracay Island

Jonah's is one of the most established restaurants in Boracay. It is open 24 hours everyday of the week and always full of diners.  Naturally, for first timers like Gevi, she has to visit the place for a taste of Boracay's famous fresh fruit shake!

high tide at Jonah's

When we talk about vacation, food will not be far behind. On our first day, we totally splurged on food. Starting with our breakfast at Jonah's. *totally trying to sound like Breakfast at Tiffany's haha

watermelon and lamb salad (share) PhP570

It used to be Roka Salata but then watermelon and lamb salad came along. DH insisted on changing my salad order. And I chose my next favorite, anything with the word lamb!

My oh my! Their SALATES (salad) is simply divine!! Fresh Arugula (Roka), chopped romaine lettuce, sun dried tomatoes, candied walnuts, shaved parmesan cheese in traditional Greek vinaigrette I really, really heart it. I order it every time and it never fails!

Cyma Greek Resto... yum yum!

Cyma Greek Restaurant
Level1, Greenbelt 2, Makati

I've always wanted to let my family try Cyma for its healthy salads and gyros/ souvlaki. So when we were pondering on where to treat my mom on her special day, Cyma immediately came to my mind.
As usual, we entered into a full packed restaurant. Good thing, they have a second floor dining area. A bit better than the ground floor. The situation is more relax and less crowded. Plus the fact that its restroom is also situated in the second floor hehe Courteous waiter is always on standby so no problem with following up your order and gettting and paying the bill.

Roka Salata family (PhP 580)

We ordered Roka Salata family (PhP 580), Lamb Souvlaki (PhP 395), Chicken Souvlaki (PhP 280), Fillet Mignon (PhP 480), Black Seabass Gindara (PhP 450). Roka Salata was a favorite of DH and I, we never fail to order it whenever we dine in Cyma.
