My visit: May 16, 2010
Jonah's Fruit Shake & Snack Bar
Station 1
Boracay Island
Jonah's is one of the most established restaurants in Boracay. It is open 24 hours everyday of the week and always full of diners. Naturally, for first timers like Gevi, she has to visit the place for a taste of Boracay's famous fresh fruit shake!
high tide at Jonah's
When we talk about vacation, food will not be far behind. On our first day, we totally splurged on food. Starting with our breakfast at Jonah's. *totally trying to sound like Breakfast at Tiffany's haha
stunning view from where we were seated
I love the clear blue sea and the powdery white sand of Boracay. Unfortunately, it was high tide the morning we arrived. But when you have a great view like this, who cares if its high tide or low tide, right?
Melon Mango fruit shake PhP110
You can taste the melon, then the mango and then the blending of both fruits... truly refreshing! Other melon combinations are with papaya, banana and pineapple. Each combination cost PhP110 while melon shake is PhP95.
boneless bangus set PhP175
Boneless Bangus is Gevi's order. When her order arrived, I was so shocked that I blurted out "ay, ang liit!" I took this top shot photo so you can see how tiny it was. Totally not worth it.
Beef tapa set PhP175
The beef tapa is part of the Filipino Breakfast. Longganisa and Tocino are also part of the Filipino Breakfast. It comes with 2 eggs cooked any style you want, a choice of garlic or plain rice and coffee or tea.
Cyma Greek Taverna
D'Mall, Balabag
Malay, Aklan
roka salata PhP510
One of the things that Gevi and I discovered was our love for Roka Salata. We rushed to Cyma for a pretty late lunch. How late? Around 3pm. I can't believe that I survived that late without lunch. I guess good company really counts, huh?
Aside from the salad, we feasted on Chicken Gyros PhP170. 500ml bottled water is at Php40. Add 12% VAT and 10% Service Charge.
Can't wait to show you where we had our dinner!
