Day 2: Yoga at 8 a.m. in Anvaya Cove

I woke up the next day hoping for a sunny day! Well, it was not exactly sunny but it did not rain as much as the day before. My friends were able to frolic on the sand, swim in the pool and eat, eat, eat!

The pool area is really big. I was not able to count how many swimming pools connected to each other. Even though there were plenty of people swimming, there was room for everybody. 

Can you see the tower bar on the background? We climbed the stairs up to the fifth floor the night before and could see nothing hahaha All those steps for nothing because it was raining. I am sure, on normal days, you can see a lot of stars at night.

Over a week ago, I was with my friends vacationing in Anvaya Cove- a Members Only resort in Morong, Bataan. I am not one to pass the chance to go this exclusive vacation spot so I went with my friends even without DH ; p

It was pretty gloomy the afternoon we arrive. The rain was nonstop. How terrible, right?! I was glad that the sun showed up the next day.

Golf Cart was our means of transportation to and from our hotel room during our entire stay in Anvaya Cove.

My friends and I have an annual beach party. Last year was the stinky Adam's Beach Resort. The kids were traumatized and don't want to go if they hear the place Batangas. But not all beaches in Batangas are the same. Canyon Cove is very nice because it has huge swimming pool and a clean beach at the same time. And the sunset is great!

We went north this year and Zambales was our final destination. Even with paved new road in NLEX and NCTEX, our group of 5 cars drove for 5 hours.

The resort was well maintained. Upon check- in, I noticed that most personnel were cleaning the area- picking trash and our transporting the luggage of their guests in and out of their room. Everybody was helpful.

We rented the whole house, the 2 rooms on the ground floor are PhP3, 600 each. Each room sleeps 4 pax. While the 2 rooms on the second floor are priced at PhP4, 200 each which has a loft, this room can accommodate 6 pax.

It's always fun and great when you go to the beach with friends. And that's what we did when. the government declared November 2, 2009 as a holiday. We could not let the chance pass. Along with our friends returning from New Zealand, we went to Camayan Beach Resort in Subic.

This is the beach fronting our rented apartment. You will need aqua shoes and cannot walk on the sands.

Buoys marks the short coastline with fine sands. DH and I swam along this area and not on the beach fronting our apartment. The water was not clear though and no fishes or corals were visible.

The second pool albeit smaller than the swimming pool fronting the hotel gives us more room to swim because only a few guests go there for a swim. And this second pool is nearer our rented apartment.

We took pictures more than we swam in the beach/ pool. I have to share with you some of those pics we took in my next post.

We had fun during our stay mostly because we have good friends who joined us. This is what I call a relaxing vacation.

Seeing the grandiose mansion is a relief from the traffic we have to endure going to Calatagan from Tagaytay. This 7 room mansion rents for 35k per night. It has a huge swimming pool and 2 slides.

They kept the house clean and the swimming pool cleaned every morning. Fruits on trees are aplenty. Air is not polluted.

The downside is that the beach is useless. When low tide sets in, grasses are everywhere. Pointless to swim in this beach. So much for swimming in the beach.

Adam's Beach Resort... sucks BIG TIME!

My friends and I had a disgusting weekend beach getaway. We heard about the Nasugbu part of Batangas is not very ideal. So we set our bar of standard low but this beach resort is trashy... literally!

It started out when CML and I were enticed by the way their website presented the resort. We thought that since this resort has a website of its own and the rate for the whole villa costs us PhP16, 500, it would be a pretty decent place. Bad decision.
