Beach Essential: Pevonia Botanica Ligne Lavandou Travel Kit

My family and I went to Canyon Cove, Batangas last weekend. Naturally, I packed my summer essentials and that includes Pevonia Botanica Ligne Lavandou. It is Pevonia Botanica's answer to sensitive skin!

Pevonia Botanica Your Skin Care Solution for Sensitive Skin PhP4,350

I know a sudden drop in temperature, like when we went to Taipei, Taiwan, would cause skin to break out easily. Exposing your skin to too much sun is not only bad for your skin but will also cause skin redness and inflammation that's why I always make sure to bring it along whenever I go on vacation.

Over the long weekend, my friends and I booked an overnight stay at Canyon Cove using vouchers that we bought through Ensogo. Without any fuss, I was able to reserve directly to the hotel a week before our target date. My friend, Cherie, faxed our vouchers the very next day. We were told to bring the vouchers with us upon checking in.

beach

This is the beach fronting our rented apartment. You will need aqua shoes and cannot walk on the sands.

Buoys marks the short coastline with fine sands. DH and I swam along this area and not on the beach fronting our apartment. The water was not clear though and no fishes or corals were visible.

the second pool

The second pool albeit smaller than the swimming pool fronting the hotel gives us more room to swim because only a few guests go there for a swim. And this second pool is nearer our rented apartment.

We took pictures more than we swam in the beach/ pool. I have to share with you some of those pics we took in my next post.

We had fun during our stay mostly because we have good friends who joined us. This is what I call a relaxing vacation.

I would like to share with you where DH and I went last weekend. It was a long weekend holiday and a spur of the moment decision to go to the beach in August. Good thing, the weather in Batangas was sunny as opposed to the occasional rain showers in Manila that weekend.

We stayed at one of the condominium/ apartment units found in the area. Although the resort offers a place to stay at their hotel, we opted to rent an apartment instead. It is cheaper and can accommodate more people.

Here are pictures to show you where we stayed:

Both rooms have their own toilet and bath. No water heater nga lang. Air conditioner is not centralize so you can choose your own room temperature. 6-8 extra mattress are provided although you have to bring in your own bed sheets. As with any apartment that you would rent, you have to bring your own toiletries and bath towels.

Another reason we opt to stay in an apartment than in Canyon Cove's hotel was that we can bring and cook our own food. I've read in tripadvisor that their hotel food is not that good. And I would not want to risk ruining a vacation for bad food.

Pics of the resort following this post.

Clouds: Canyon Cove, Nasugbu, Batangas

My visit: August 30-31, 2009

As you may have noticed, I have a penchant for taking pictures of clouds. When we were in Canyon Cove last weekend, I couldn't help myself and took these pictures.

I hope you can also appreciate my love for clouds.
