Birthday Lunch Treat From Pevonia!

Hello! How's your day? I was in Trinoma Mall earlier today where I met with the Pevonia girls (as I would love to call them ; p). They treated me to a hearty lunch at Kimpura (yes, this is still part of my post birthday celebration. IKR, it has extended until the month of June ; p)

Our meeting was set at 11am, little did we know that the restaurant opens at 11:30am ; p Luckily, we were able to get inside before the said time, thanks to the charm of Ms. Elaine. 

We requested for seats in the Teppanyaki area. Ok, I am warning you, there's a lot and I mean a lot of food photos coming right at you! Don't judge us for what we have ordered lol

My friends and I were able to buy Luxent Hotel's Eat-All-You-Can Buffet and Drinks for only PhP 599 instead of PhP 999 from MetroDeal. The voucher is not valid on February 14 to 16 (Valentine's Weekend) so use it last Friday instead. Based on my previous experience, traffic would be terrible if we celebrate it on the day itself anyway.

There's only four stations - Lechon, Japanese, BBQ Grill and Dessert. Well, five, if you count the ice cream fridge located at the farthest side of the room near the entrance.

Discover Kinosaki: Kani Suki (Winter Crab) Meal

After visiting five onsen or public baths in one afternoon, we went back to Shinonomesou. We were surprised to see what was laid out on the table - our Kani Suki dinner. It does not look that much on our table but believe me, even DH gave up eating the last few pieces. It was way too much for two persons. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed every bit of the giant winter crab. It was a feast to say the least.

what is gluttony?

It was a complete meal with vegetables, rice and of course, the winter crab cooked in so many ways, tempura included! Oh, some crab parts were to be eaten sashimi style ; p

A Quick Lunch at Tokyo Cafe SM Megamall

I was in SM Megamall yesterday to replace the battery of DH's watch. After completing the task, my parents and I went looking for a decent restaurant to have our late lunch. We were supposed to dine in The French Baker but the restaurant was full and not a single staff seemed to bother to attend to us. We walked out and went in Tokyo Cafe instead ; p

Ten-Ju - Deep fried shrimp tempura with signature tempura sauce over steamed rice

I commend Tokyo Cafe for coming out with dishes that look almost exactly the same as the photos on the menu. I was half expecting 3 tiny shrimps but I got relatively large ones (as seen in the photo above).

Ginger & radish (for Tempura sauce) and a side salad were served together with Ten-Ju.

If you are on a diet, Tokyo Cafe offers Light Rice Meals. These are dishes on the menu which are small meals that's light on your pocket. It is ideal for brunch or snack. Find out more about it after the break....
