Peek-a-boo: Tod's D-Styling Bauletto Mini in Orange

For full article, please visit my new blog at http://www.xoxomrsmartinez.com/2016/06/tods-d-styling-bauletto-mini-in-orange.html

Remember when I went to Hong Kong last year? I was supposed to buy Louis Vuitton Eva clutch bag but then DH suggested Tivoli GM instead. I saw the tote bag on the shelf screaming my name hahaha Talk about being a shopaholic! Ok, just kidding ; p

After carrying my Tivoli GM for almost a year and several visits to the spa for back pains later, I am determined to find a small bag. And here she is...

Before I settled for this one, we scoured around Central in Hong Kong and Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui for 2 straight days. We went inside every store that sells a designer bag before I decided on this one.

I'm Switching: Charm Travel Pro v3

Newsflash! Read about the limited edition Charm Trave Pro Sonia Makeup Brush Set here. You can also read about my favorite Charm Essentials brush here.

Everyone who reads my blog knows that more often than not I apply most of the make up on my face with my fingertips. Yes, even the eye shadows. The reason is I am usually in a hurry. It gets the job done anyway so why bother, right? Wrong! Read on to find out why...

The brushes I own (there were only a few!) were either given to me as a gift or I have won in a giveaway. I bought only two basic brushes (eye shadow and powder brush) from The Body Shop.

Travelogue: Tram, LV, Cafe de Coral in Central Hong Kong

My visit: July 31 to August 3, 2011

Central, Hong Kong

The double decker tram in Hong Kong fascinates me. Even if it's open air, I love it! It makes me feel like I am transported back in time! This is one of my fondest memories when I was a kid visiting Hong Kong and it never ceases to amaze me.

Incidentally, Hong Kong operates the world's largest fleet of double decker tramcars. Operating since 1904, it started with just 26 single deck trams ow with 163 double decker tramcars including two antique tramcars.

When my "CareBear" friend, Marilene, invited DH and I over to her son's 1st birthday party a few weeks ago, I saw a lot of familiar faces but didn't quite get the chance to talk to all of them. We agreed to set a date and place for our mini reunion. It took place in Lugang Cafe, Greenhills 2 nights ago.

I am still a bit sleepy as I am typing this entry because I went home at around 12:30am and slept at around 2 am. Talk about getting high from being so happy to see my old friends. Plus, I drank a large cup of WinterMelon Milk Tea  ; p

Hi!

Someone informed me that some unscrupulous online sellers are using my photos to scam other people. Please be warned that I don't sell online stuff especially branded bags. These bags for my own personal collection.

If you have found any of my photos online kindly inform me through my Facebook fan page

Thanks

Alright, guys, girls and gays! I have made my very first purchase of a Louis Vuitton bag. This is a very exciting entry. I hope you are as enthusiastic as me as I write down my experience shopping for my very first LV. You might want to check out how to spot a fake Louis Vuitton here.

Here is a little trivia... I started my blog in 2008 with a post about Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch. Now, three years later I still have not bought an Eva Clutch. BUT I got an LV Monogram Canvas Tivoli GM (M40144) instead. For me, it is a better choice. Thanks to the keen eye of DH who spotted the bag straight out of the show room.

sneak peek on my spanking new bag

You all know I went to Hong Kong. I have been there several times but it was only in our recent trip that the itinerary was purely shopping! Yes, you read that right... S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G ; p

Photoshop gone awry: Lorna Tolentino's Flawless ad

Flawless billboard latest ad

Can you spot Lorna T? The picture looks more like Ruffa Gutierrez.
And the LV  hand bag is now gone as seen in the latest ad (first picture). The second picture was first released.  It seems to me that Louis Vuitton and Flawless had a misunderstanding that Flawless opted to take out the photo of the much coveted prize as shown in the first picture.

Compare and Contrast: original and fake Longchamp Le Pliage

The entire content of this entry has been transferred in my new blog, xoxo MrsMartinez

In my previous post, you learned about how to spot a fake Longchamp Le Pliage. To help you visualize the difference between a fake from the original one, I borrowed  fake tote bag.

original Longchamp Le Pliage Type M front

The photo above features an original RED made in France Longchamp Le Pliage Type M while the GREEN one (3rd photo) is a fake! It was bought for less than PhP 500 ; p

Right now, Longchamp has been manufacturing some of their bags from China. So, if you bought one that is made in China, it could still be real. Photos below can help you spot the difference so look closely.

My yoga buddy, RAM, is a true blue fashionista. She is always armed with her unique taste in fashion. Often a shy gal, she let me took her pic all for the glory of my blog.

A disappointed me!

Last Sunday, we went to Greenbelt to celebrate my mom's nth birthday @ CYMA Greek restaurant. On the way, DH and I went to Louis Vuitton store to look for the Eva clutch. I was disappointed to see the bag, not because of its size- I really want a small bag, but with its sling.

LV Neverfull

When I put it over and across my body, as it was designed, it fell between my knees and my hip. Totally unflattering hehe So, moving on, I checked on the Neverfull bag but the zipper is lacking in its design. Hmmm... not Philippine- friendly I must say hehe And don't get me started on those thin handles.

So what now? I have to check the LV site again to see what else I like. Any other suggestions?

Louis Vuitton: Eva Clutch

Geez! I haven't started yet but I seem can't figure out which of my two email address were registered in this blog teehee...

Finally been able to get the result, not what I would have wanted but good enough.

LV Eva clutch

Anyway, I have been pondering on buying an LV Eva clutch for my birthday month of May. But DH has been my conscience since day 1. I haven't had the courage to go an LV store for fear I might over indulge myself and would have bought a wallet and a bag... I wish hehe My conscience is killing me hehe Hmmm... the money I will spend for a bag could feed a lot of street children but, what the heck, a girl has to have at least a piece of a designer bag once in her life tee hee Bad thinking hehe A lot of power is needed to convince my DH which I know will verge on a debate and my conscience will sink in and finally... no bag for me! It ain't over till it's over...
