FREE The Body Shop Love Your Body Rewards Card!

I got my very own Love Your Body Rewards Card from The Body Shop. I used to just borrow my mom's LYB card if I wanted discounts on my purchases but not anymore. Earlier today, I was in The Body Shop SM Megamall looking for a liquid hand wash. The sales lady told me about so many irresistible offers - Buy 1 at 20% off, Buy 2 at 30% off, Buy 3 at 40% off and Buy 4 at 50% off!

I got my The Body Shop Love Your Body Rewards Card for FREE

This is a great opportunity for me to SHOP & SAVE! On top of the promotional items, the sales lady told me that I could get The Body Shop Love Your Body (LYB) Rewards Card if my bill would amount to PhP 1,500. The card has a total of PhP 1,470 voucher inside. You can use these vouchers upon collecting the required number of stamps that you get with a minimum of PhP 900 purchase.

Guess how many items I bought for only PhP 1,500? Read after the break....

Physiogel Hypoallergenic & Other Products - Solution to my Dry, Sensitive Skin

The entire content of this entry has been transferred in my new blog xoxo MrsMartinez

These days, I am happy because I have found a solution to my dry skin. You see, I have been visiting my dermatologist for numerous problems.

It all began late last year when I visited her clinic before I left for a vacation in Korea because I found tiny bumps in my forehead, I have back acne and also the disturbing rash on my chest. It felt so weird that everything came out simultaneously, even DH was in panic mode! But with diligence in applying the prescribed topical medication, all my problems were solved or so I thought!

Earlier this year, I noticed that there was a small circular dry area on my right cheek. Of course, I went back to my dermatologist. I was going anyway for a follow-up check up on the condition of my back acne - it was the most annoying thing that has happened to me.  During that visit, aside from topical medication prescription for my pimples, she gave me a sample sachet of Physiogel Hypoallergenic Cream for the dry area on my right cheek. I found it effective so after finishing it, I bought several sachets of different Physiogel products so I can try which one my skin needs.

Kanebo KATE Mineral: BB Gel Cream + Loose Foundation

Makeup is one reason why I love to go to Taipei. I always end up hoarding buying from KATE by Kanebo. Just recently, I bought KATE Mineral BB Gel Cream and KATE Mineral Loose Foundation twin pack in Watson's located near GT Apartment.

KATE Mineral BB Gel Cream and KATE Mineral Loose Foundation twin pack NT$390 (PhP585)

While perusing aisle after aisle of makeup, I found this twin pack stashed in a corner. Alongside with it is an individually sold KATE Mineral BB Gel Cream which costs NT$390. Technically, I got the KATE Mineral Loose Foundation for free. Yey!

The Body Shop Spiced Vanilla Reed Diffuser

I got this reed diffuser from The Body Shop last Christmas. Since I was not home during the holidays, I totally forgot about it. While rummaging through my stuff and looking for a space inside my cabinet to fill it with my recent Korean beauty haul, I saw this huge rectangular box. What better way to make a space than to get the box out of the cabinet and use it, right?

Here I was one afternoon unboxing The Body Shop's Spiced Vanilla Reed Diffuser. Read after the break for the unboxing.

So, last Saturday, DH- bless his heart that's why I love him- and I braved the traffic from Malabon City to SM Megamall Bldg. B for the makeover. Thanks to the power of PhP100, he was able to park somewhere near the entrance of the mall ; p

I'm Switching: Charm Travel Pro v3

Newsflash! Read about the limited edition Charm Trave Pro Sonia Makeup Brush Set here. You can also read about my favorite Charm Essentials brush here.

Everyone who reads my blog knows that more often than not I apply most of the make up on my face with my fingertips. Yes, even the eye shadows. The reason is I am usually in a hurry. It gets the job done anyway so why bother, right? Wrong! Read on to find out why...

The brushes I own (there were only a few!) were either given to me as a gift or I have won in a giveaway. I bought only two basic brushes (eye shadow and powder brush) from The Body Shop.

Little did I know that I will be receiving a whole set- A Charm Travel Pro Makeup Brush Set is what she calls it. I was a little overwhelmed by the number of brushes included- 14 in all!

Beauty Loot: Fanny Serrano Lipstick in Tweedia

When I read an announcement in the newspaper that SM is having a 3 day sale, I see to it that I drop by the make up counters a few days before the sale and make a reservation of the products that I want (read: Kanebo). By doing so, I save myself some time to scout good buys from other brands. After all, I only have 2 hours (10am to 12nn) to avail of the additional 10% discount.

Fanny Serrano Lipstick in Tweedia PhP195

This Fanny Serrano lipstick is one of those good buys. I was able to move around, take a closer look and try on the testers because I have enough time before the cut off time ends.

I only paid PhP150.05 after discount for this moisturizing lipstick. I described it as moisturizing because it glides easily on my lips even without putting Carmex on first.

Read after the break to see the color on my lips...

Beauty Loot: The Body Shop Kajal EyeLiner in EverGreen!

The Body Shop
G/F Greenhills Shopping Center
San Juan

Last Tuesday, I had so much time in my hands that I get to roam around Greenhills Shopping Center. I spotted The Body Shop on sale! I was not able to go to their recent Warehouse Sale and I want to make up for my absence lol

The Body Shop Kajal Eyeliner (shown fully extended) PhP695

Looking around the center aisle where everything is on sale, I found this last piece of Kajal eyeliner in evergreen. I asked the SA to apply the tester on one of my eyelid. She told me that this eyeliner can give me a smoky eye effect. After she applied on one eyelid, I tried applying it on my own.

FOTD: Coral and Emerald Sea

It has been awhile since I posted an FOTD. I have been going crazy over anything orangey as of the moment so I have created a make up look based on it.

Face Of The Day: Coral & Sea Green

How do I look? I sure hope I don't look like a sea creature hahaha

Breaking News... MrsMartinez in Business Mirror!

Alright and I thought getting people to LIKE my blog posts in Pond's microsite would get me nowhere instead I got an odd request from an old batch mate of mine, Mike. He asked if I can write an article to be posted in Business Mirror's supplemental magazine called Health & Fitness. This was after I asked him to PLEASE like my Pond's post haha After exchanging a few words, if I am getting compensated- NO, I wasn't paid to contribute (poor me!) He gave me his assurance that he is willing to print my blog URL and Pond's microsite in exchange for a 2 page article! Oh, the things I would do to promote it haha

While I didn't promised Mike anything because he just gave me a vague description of what the topic is all about- summer and skin. He reminded me not to mention any product along the way haha It kills me to keep secrets to my readers. And of course the deadline- was it Sunday or Monday night? hehe I wasn't really sure! Oh, by the way, I will put in blue the names of the brands I love!

As usual, I crammed and submitted a few hours before the deadline but only a page and a half... whew! As usual, I didn't know how I managed to write an article but I did with my eyes half close lol I didn't attach any pictures, not even a description of myself. I just wrote "By MrsMartinez", included the links of my blog and of course, the microsite... most important! lol Okay, I didn't expect that my article would passed and get printed, talk about no confidence at all haha

Taking skin care to heart this summer!
By MrsMartinez

Summer means baring more skin under the sun. While some of you like the idea of getting a tan, I, on the other hand, hide behind my powerful sunscreen. And if that’s not enough, I could always count on my huge sunglasses. I am fair skinned to start with so my protection from the sun is nil, nada.

MakeUp for Asian Eyes

I am not a make up guru nor a make up artist but I know how to put make up on my own. I learned putting on make up from my numerous salon trip. I paid quite a few times for a professional make up artist to prettify my face during graduation, senior prom, debut to becoming a part of the wedding entourage but I see to it that I learn a couple of tips here and there. It's like a free make up tutorial haha

open eye make up

Having a monolid eyes sucks if you don't know how to enhance your God given feature. I learned how to love my almond eyes! You, too, can do your make up on your own. All it takes is practice, practice and more practice!

The Body Shop Body Butter

My event: January 13, 2010

The Body Shop Blog Me Up, Buuttercup!
Upper Ground Floor, Building B
SM Megamall

Hello readers! The Body Shop is officially my first event of the year 2011! I am really, really happy because I use The Body Shop brand even before I got involved in blogging activities. You all know how I hoarded lotions during last year's The Body Shop sale, right?  Wouldn't you be as giddy as I am if you got an invite for body butter this time around? As if the lotions and body butters stock in my vanity isn't enough lol

8 The Body Shop Body Butter core scents from top clockwise: Moringa, Satsuma, Pink Grapefruit, Wild Cherry, Olive, Sweet Lemon, Shea and Strawberry (center)

A little bit of trivia... The Body Shop body butter were out in the market since the '80s. We had '80s music in the background the entire time hehe Name that '80s tune was also gamely participated by beauty bloggers. I just hope that they feature "footloose" next time lol

L'Oreal Paris Base Magique

When Mikki Galang of L'Oreal Philippines handed me Base Magique, he whispered that it's a very nice product.

L'Oreal Base Magique PhP945

OMG! He wasn't kidding! It wasn't just a nice product, it really delivers what it promises- L'Oreal Base Magique smooths skin surface!

The Body Shop Cranberry Joy

Looking for a Christmas gift for your loved one? Guys, your girlfriend will love this! I know because I want to hoard The Body Shop Lip Balm especially the one in Fresh Berry flavor! During the TBS Thanksgiving Event, I got this Cranberry Joy line included in a set that was given to me,  I couldn't resist putting it on when I am going out the whole day.

The Body Shop Cranberry Joy lip balm 15ml PhP295

At only PhP295, this one is easier on the pocket than Kiehl's Lip Balm SPF15. It gives almost the same amount of moisture so you can easily pucker up when you and your honey are both under the mistletoe!

Glitter Eyeliner Starlight from The Body Shop

Fancy the sparkle in my eyes? The secret is my new Glitter eye liner, Starlight from The Body Shop! I bought it last week. I can't have enough of it since I tried it on during TBS' Christmas Party 2010!
