Chicco Jazzy in Red Wave

I was not able to blog yesterday because it was my birthday. I was out celebrating with my parents during lunch and with DH and baby during dinner. Anyway, more on that in my next post!

For today, I want to share my recent purchase for my baby girl, a new high chair! When I went to Rustan's, I didn't know that there are a lot to choose from. Prices also varies. Chicco brand won me over because I think it was the most stable among the bunch.

Chicco Jazzy in Red Wave PhP 5,995.75

Just a precaution, highchairs are for kids who are able to sit upright without any help from an adult. This is recommended for babies that are 6 months or older. With this type, I can use it for my baby until she turns 3 years old or weighs 15kg.

Seattle's Best Coffee's Valentine Cookies & SBC Milk Tea

My event: February 10, 2012

Seattle's Best Coffee
Greenhills Town Center
Granada Street, San Juan

It's the love month! Seattle's Best Coffee introduced this limited edition Valentine Cookies last Friday over a cup of SBC Milk Tea. These delectable heart-shaped cookies come in 2 flavors- chocolate- flavored butter cookie and classic butter cookie. Each cookie is covered in fondant and carries 4 different designs.

this heart-shaped cookie has my signature XOXO written on it ; p

I chose this yellow heart-shaped cookie because it has "xoxo" written on top of it ; p For some husbands (or sometimes boyfriends) like my DH who doesn't like giving flowers, heart-shaped cookies would do the trick hahaha DH should get me one, right now! After all, it's the thought that counts.

DIY: Bubble Hair Coloring in Wine Red (#4) by Etude House

The entire content of this entry has been transferred in my new blog, xoxo MrsMartinez

This just in! After my first professional hair color experience at Hair Asia last July, it's about time that I do my own hair color. Why? Because I can't afford to pay PhP2, 500 every three months ; p You see, the thing with having a red hair color treatment is that the red pigment washes away after every bath. The brown pigment remained though.

Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in Wine Red (#4) PhP378

I bought Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in SM Megamall over a month ago but I just could not muster enough courage to apply the hair color on my own. I feared that I might end up with damaged hair, uneven color or worse the color would not match what is pictured on the box. Today, I have a lot of time in my hands so I decided to just do it lol

A box contained:

  • Hair coloring sachet #1
  • Hair coloring bottle #2
  • A resealable packaging that includes a plastic cape, a pair of gloves, Silky Perfumed Treatment sachet and a Korean instruction manual

Fashionista & Her Bag: LushAngel

August 24, 2011

Eastwood City, Libis

It has been over five months since I first made a post about Fashionista & Her Bag. Somehow, I find it quite hard to convince someone to gamely pose for my camera lol This is just an impromptu pictorial. And the idea of making this entry came after I viewed all my shots. Luckily, Angela agreed to be my test next subject.

Necklace: Givenchy
Bracelet: Philippe Charriol

If you have been reading my blog, you will see Angela in most of my beauty related events. She is a beauty/ fashion blogger. I like her cheery attitude and most of all she is not afraid of the camera. So, swak kami!

Hair Color Experience at Hair Asia

My visit: July 23, 2011

Hair Asia
35 Judge Jimenez St.,
Kamuning, Quezon City
9269480 415ASIA

DH and I have passed by the humungous facade of Hair Asia several times in the past. A huge tarpaulin ad is placed outside with services and corresponding rate written on it. When my friends and I were on our way to Trinoma and passed by the salon, I told them that the salon intrigues me and how I wanted to check it out.

I was persuading DH to try the salon's PhP100 hair cut because even if he goes to a salon with a   PhP500 price tag, the style and cut remains the same. One night, DH came home sporting a new hair cut. I learned that he had his hair cut at Hair Asia for PhP200. Apparently, the PhP100 hair cut is done by a junior stylist. DH went with the senior stylist, Raymond.

my mahogany brown hair

If you have been following me over FaceBook or Twitter, you know that I have been thinking of coloring my hair ever since I was told that I have white hairs sticking out of my head. Yikes! I have been researching about products and inquiring rates in several salons. It cross my mind to apply my own hair color at home but that would be scary for a first timer like myself. My gawd! I can't imagine I even think of strawberry blond as my new hair color! hahaha Well, my hair color turned out exactly the way I wanted. Read more after the break...

What's In My Bag: Whistle

Ever since my friends told me about keeping a whistle with you at all times, I became obsessed. Initially, I bought 3 whistles in black, red and blue colors. Two whistles are now attached with the car keys and the other one is now with my set of house keys.

 whistle PhP30

I bought 3 whistles from Toby's Sports in SM Megamall for only PhP30. Today, I bought two more in Toby's Sport Greenhills. I gave one to my mom.

Plains & Prints

OMG! I got so many rave comments about this dress that it needs a separate post haha This sponsored Plains & Prints dress was worn last week during Pond's The Unbeaten Challenge event.

I was running out of time that's why I wasn't able to take a decent photo of myself before the event. When I got home, I just have to be in front of DH's lens lol

FOTD: Scarlet & Hazel

If I am not attending events, I go to the office. My office look is a bit toned down as oppose to when you see me in events. Here is my office look.

Sunsilk inspired Nail Art!

I know this is a bit late because it's Monday already. I have been a working girl for the past couple of weeks so I was not able to fulfill a change of polish every Thursday.

So, anyway, while waiting for my family to pick me up on a Sunday afternoon, I got 30 minutes to spare. I took out my nail polish kit and made this new nail art creation inspired by Sunsilk Co- Creation Damage Repair shampoo!

Flower Power: Bromeliad

Bromeliad PhP200  bought in Greenhills

As usual, I wasn't able to get the name of this plant. I will go back and ask for the name, crossing my fingers that I don't forget about it lol Anyway, I love that it brings life to the corner of my living room.

Home Improvement: Green is the new Black!

A red car transformer along EDSA!

I think this car is used to be a Toyota Lite Ace turned into a pick- up truck! While cruising along EDSA last week, I saw this quirky car and then aimed my camera to shoot! What a transformer!

Compare and Contrast: original and fake Longchamp Le Pliage

The entire content of this entry has been transferred in my new blog, xoxo MrsMartinez

In my previous post, you learned about how to spot a fake Longchamp Le Pliage. To help you visualize the difference between a fake from the original one, I borrowed  fake tote bag.

original Longchamp Le Pliage Type M front

The photo above features an original RED made in France Longchamp Le Pliage Type M while the GREEN one (3rd photo) is a fake! It was bought for less than PhP 500 ; p

Right now, Longchamp has been manufacturing some of their bags from China. So, if you bought one that is made in China, it could still be real. Photos below can help you spot the difference so look closely.

  • I don't do nipper so I just cut my nails into shape- oval or square, your choice.
  • After nail filing, put on a single base coat.
  • Then 2 coats of nail polish with the color of your choice, RED is my choice.
  • Don't forget the top coat to give your nails some shining moment.
  • Lastly, put on a coat of quick dry.
Now you are ready to show off your well manicured nails!

My favorite junk

Eto na, featuring... my favorite JUNK!

Ang Haw flakes, kabataan ko pa lang gustong gusto ko na ito. Napakasarap at napakatamis. Kaya lagi akong me take home nito pagnakita ko ito sa grocery or any chinese store. One pack of 10 pieces cost only PhP12. Murang mura, swak na swak sa budget ; p

 haw flakes

Ito namang red kiamoy, pinagtiya-tiyagaan ko lang. Kasi ba naman, di na ako makakita nun matamis na pulang kiamoy. Nowadays, when you say sweet kiamoy, the seller would point at the black/dark kiamoy. Eh, ayaw mo nun. Ewan ko ba, di ko nahiligan ang kulay nun. So eto nag tiya-tiyaga... para lang makakain... haha
