Last month, I went to Kiehl's Shangri-la Mall East Wing (yes, the new wing!) and had my photo taken with Dr. Bones. I uploaded it on my Instagram account together with the hashtag "#ChangeYourSkinwithKiehls". I also tagged @KiehlsShangrila. It's as simple as that and then I get to choose one product from their sample to take home. Guess what I took home that day? a 5ml tube of Kiehl's Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream.

I was really having a hard time choosing which sample product to take home. Good thing the sales representative insisted that Kiehl's newest BB Cream is really a nice product and I took her word for it.

My take on K-Palette 24h Real Lasting Eyepencil Waterproof in Deep Brown

I got a complimentary set of K-Palette 24h Real Lasting Eyepencil for review from the local distributor a few months ago. Since I am busy with my baby, I don't have enough time on my hands to prettify myself so pardon me for taking a long time to write about my experience after receiving the package.

K-Palette 24h Real Lasting Eyepencil is highly pigmented and easy to use. It has a softer lead therefore it does not tug my lids as it glides upon application. 

Since I have almond-shaped eyes, I have to draw a thicker line on my upper eyelids to make my eyes appear bigger and fiercer. I am not used to drawing on my lower lash line though, you will find out why after the break...

In my previous entry, I told you about meeting the "Pevonia girls" for a post birthday lunch, right? Well, that's not all what happened. After lunch, the girls handed over a bag- silly me, I mistook it as a laptop bag ; p Found inside were Pevonia products (or "Pangkabuhayan Showcase" as Elaine calls it ; ) that I could use at home.

Anyway, as if that was not enough, they ushered me to The Spa located on the same level as Kimpura. For the next hour and a half, I experienced a luxurious service called Crystalline Body Treatment using only Pevonia products like Silky Skin Body Scrub and Micro-emulsified Massage Oil.

Shoo Mosquito: Propolis Ointment, Cebo De Macho & Baygon Mat Anti-Dengue

Earlier this month, I blogged about Burt's Bees Outdoor Bug Bite Relief. Since I posted the entry, I got a lot of comments/suggestions for treating mosquitoes bites from readers like you. I found out online that one of the two active ingredients in Burt's Bees Outdoor Bug Bite Relief (Camphor) is not safe for babies... ack! *smacks myself in the head for not researching online before buying ; p

To make the long story short, I gave the tube to DH. I have since switched to Ilog Maria Propolis Ointment.

A friend of ours went to Ilog Maria a few weeks ago. Bless him because he bought 2 jars of Ilog Maria Propolis Ointment for my baby. Now, why didn't I think of using that for treating my daughter's mosquito bites in the first place?! ; (

The mosquito bites she got during our Tagaytay vacation are healed already. My problem is her darkened skin where mosquito bite marks used to be. My SIL suggested Cebo De Macho, luckily, finding the product is easy. I found one near the check-out counter in SM Supermarket. I have been applying it onto her skin religiously.

When my family and I came home from Tagaytay last holy week, my daughter's leg has several mosquito bite marks. Needless to say, I panicked. Over a month ago, I was invited to the launching of BYS's Spring/Summer 2013 Forecast. BYS is the most extensive Australian beauty brand available in Australia, UK, Japan and now in the Philippines.

Girls' Night Out: Fairydrops Volume Burst Waterproof Mascara

I went out with my girl friends yesterday. While waiting for them to arrive at my place, I put on some makeup and tried on a new product which was given to me sometime last year. It's Fairydrops Volume Burst Waterproof Mascara. It is from the same company that brought to you K-Palette.

I have sparse eyelashes so if a mascara can do wonders to it, I am sold! I applied just one coat and I am pretty satisfied with the outcome. My eyes did not scream for attention. Fairydrops Volume Burst Mascara just emphasized it making it look wider and brighter.

FOTD: FairyDrops Candy Bar BB Cream + ProStyle Fuwarie

I love Japanese BB Cream as compared to Korean BB Cream because it offers full coverage and well, it suits my skin type. When I went to Korea in 2011, I bought a lot of BB Creams from different brands but I was not able to review any because some offer only light to medium coverage while I find the others, too cakey.

For quite some time now, I have been sticking with Kanebo Kate Mineral BB Gel Cream because I have not found any other brand that suits my skin tone. In fact, I even bought another tube when I went to Japan early this year.

Anyway, when Cheryl of Beautybox Corp. sent me a squeezable tube of Fairydrops Candy Bar BB Cream the other day, I can't wait to give it a try. Maybe this time, I will have an alternative to my favorite brand. Did I tell you that it's made in Japan?

In fact, I have several brands right now (this one included ; p) that I alternately use depending on my mood ; )

Cynos Morocco Argan Oil Review

When I attended Cynos Hair Fashion Show featuring top stylists Tinette Ozamis-Puyat, Hanz Olivar and Alex Carbonell, I took home a swag bag containing a tiny bottle of Body &Thairapy Morocco Argan Oil and a set of Argan Oil Thairapy Moisture vitality Shampoo & Conditioner.

I did not open the bottle until Summit Colors, the local distributor of Cynos, sent me another bottle. This time with a different set of Cynos Shampoo and Conditioner - CRP System Pliancy.

It was about the same time last year when I experienced dryness on my cheeks. I bought two different variants of Physiogel - AI Cream & Cream. I used it after washing my face in the morning and at night. But I still experience dryness on my face a few hours after application. If I am home, I can reapply the product but I could not reapply it as often as I want to when I am out. That's where Cynos Morocco Argan Oil comes in.
