Longchamp Les Planètes Tote Bag in Black

The entire content of this entry has been transferred in my new blog, xoxo MrsMartinez

Lately, my email was swamped with requests for Longchamp Les Planètes feature. Since I don't own any Longchamp shopping bag, I did the next best thing---> borrow one from my good friend, Cats ; p She purchased her tote bag last January 2012 in Sogo Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong for HK$ 990.

*Longchamp Planètes Shopping Tote with Long Handle in black HK$ 990 (US$ 155)

With more than a passing resemblance to Pliage®, the Planètes line is distinguished by its structured form, thick fabric trimmed with full-grain cowhide and its satiny feel. Handbag, tote or hobo bag... choose it this season in its new ebony color -SOURCE

Dimensions :

  • 10x10x5½ inch (25x25x14 cm)

Description:

  • 1 main compartment with zipper opening
  • interior: One flat pocket on front

Recommendation: To remove any stains, simply brush softly.

Care: To maintain your product, apply with a soft brush Longchamp colorless cream regularly to leather areas.

*In the photo, notice that Longchamps' long handles easily fall on the sides of the bag. Les Planètes tote handbags are not foldable unlike the Les Pliages.

I am not an expert and I don't authenticate fake from real Longchamp Les Planètes tote bags. Please buy only from Longchamp boutiques.

I hope that by showing these photos, it can help you with your purchase of a new bag. I know my photos are awesome but please do not steal them ; p Last thing I want to see is a fake reseller with my real Longchamp photos... what a loser and an asshole!

Peek-a-boo: Tod's D-Styling Bauletto Mini in Orange

For full article, please visit my new blog at http://www.xoxomrsmartinez.com/2016/06/tods-d-styling-bauletto-mini-in-orange.html

Remember when I went to Hong Kong last year? I was supposed to buy Louis Vuitton Eva clutch bag but then DH suggested Tivoli GM instead. I saw the tote bag on the shelf screaming my name hahaha Talk about being a shopaholic! Ok, just kidding ; p

After carrying my Tivoli GM for almost a year and several visits to the spa for back pains later, I am determined to find a small bag. And here she is...

my new Tod's D-Styling Bauletto mini in orange

Before I settled for this one, we scoured around Central in Hong Kong and Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui for 2 straight days. We went inside every store that sells a designer bag before I decided on this one.

Following up on the successful fun run held for the first time last year, HSBC decided to make it an annual event. HSBC, the world's local bank, has been doing business in the Philippines for almost 136 years. As part of its advocacy, all proceeds for this year's run will be donated to Sa Aklat Sisikat Foundation (SAS).

Why I love Hong Kong: Toilet, Milk, Char Siu & Share Tea!

In the Philippines, you have to pay for the use of toilet with basic amenities such as tissue paper, alcohol and lotion. In Hong Kong, every single most toilet looks like the one in the picture below!

disposable toilet seat cover, alcohol and toilet paper

In other countries like Taiwan, toilet papers are provided even in toilets that needs you to squat on the floor ; p I wonder why we can't do it?

Afternoon Tea at Cova Ristorante Harbour City Hong Kong

My visit: August 2, 2011

Cova Milano since 1817

Harbour City Tsim Sha Tsui

I have already experienced having an afternoon tea once in Bizu and a high tea in an event. DH, on the other hand, has not experienced any one of these tea thing. While strolling inside Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, we chanced upon Cova Ristorante offering an afternoon tea buffet with a hefty price tag of HK$200 per person plus tax.

Afternoon tea is also known as low tea because it was traditionally served on a low table like a coffee table near a sofa. It is typically served with light snacks like scones and finger sandwiches in mid afternoon.

High tea, also known as meat tea, is served after 5pm on a dining table. It is served with heavy food like steak, fish and vegetables.

Hui Lau Shan and New York Fries in Tsim Sha Tsui

My visit August 2, 2011

Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

On our third day, we visited Tsim Sha Tsui for more shopping eating experience! After spending half of the day walking along Central, we need some dessert to eat before venturing to another afternoon of window shopping.

We saw several stalls bearing the name Hui Lau Shan. It's mango haven ; ) Everything looks yummy! I am salivating as I am writing this entry. They have a promo package of nine different mango desserts.  We didn't order it for fear that we could not finish the whole thing lol

Travelogue: Tram, LV, Cafe de Coral in Central Hong Kong

My visit: July 31 to August 3, 2011

Central, Hong Kong

The double decker tram in Hong Kong fascinates me. Even if it's open air, I love it! It makes me feel like I am transported back in time! This is one of my fondest memories when I was a kid visiting Hong Kong and it never ceases to amaze me.

double decker tramcar

Incidentally, Hong Kong operates the world's largest fleet of double decker tramcars. Operating since 1904, it started with just 26 single deck trams ow with 163 double decker tramcars including two antique tramcars.

I have so much photos taken during my short vacation in Hong Kong that I have not yet shared with you, my dear readers! Initially I thought I don't have much to show but looking at the photos inside my Hong Kong folder, there were far too many!

DH and I

This photo was taken inside a bus on the day that I got my LV Tivoli GM. After buying my loot we went back to Wifi Hotel to unbox it and then went to Horizon Plaza in the afternoon.

Horizon Plaza is a warehouse converted into an outlet center with 28 floors full of designer clothes. You wouldn't miss a building where a Ferrari showroom at the ground floor is located, would you? ; )

Tsui Wah Restaurant Central Hong Kong

My visit: August 1, 2011

Tsui Wah Restaurant
The Best Cafe Restaurant
15-19 Wellington St.,
Central, Hong Kong

With a huge package in tow, DH and I trod to the nearest restaurant we could find which is Tsui Wah (TW) Restaurant.

lamb chops set meal

You know I love lamb. When I went to Singapore late last year, the very first meal I had was lamb chops. When I was in Hong Kong, I still find time to eat my favorite.

The lamb chop was served on a hot plate over mashed potatoes with mixed vegetables and rice on the side.

Mak's Noodle and Tsukiji Japanese Restaurant in Hong Kong

My visit: July 31, 2011

Mak's Noodle
Wellington Street, Central
Hong Kong

During our recent trip to Hong Kong, our time is divided between shopping and dining but more on the former though. We came across this tiny noodle house just because we veered away from an expensive looking restaurant right across the street.

shrimp wonton HK$32

I was shocked because this tiny noodle house has been visited by Anthony Bourdain. Apparently, he ate here awhile back. This is the second restaurant that I have eaten with Anthony Bourdain article, his photo and his "seal of approval".  The first restaurant that I have eaten with his photo on the wall was Bale Dutung. His photo was on the table this time just beside the menu.

As usual, we finalized and booked our Hong Kong trip at the very last minute. We booked through Agoda on a Monday (July 25) and our flight was scheduled Sunday (July 31) of the same week. How's that for another sweet surprise?!

Wifi Boutique Hotel (Hong Kong), a three star hotel, is conveniently situated in the heart of Wan Chai- Lockhart Road. What sealed the deal was the complementary wifi access in each room ; p

Singapore Chronicle: Wong Kok Restaurant

My visit: November 14, 2010

Singapore Day 1
PAL flight PR503 7am
round trip airfare $189.20

My friend, AC and I have agreed to be picked up by their car around 4am. But I overslept, yes, I overslept and my freaking alarm didn't work. And don't ask me why, ok? When I got her text that she, and her family were on their way, I panicked. She lives just a block away from my home. I replied by texting her I'll be down in 5 minutes. That's how fast I washed my face, brushed my teeth and changed clothes. Yes, shower is not on the list! *shmelly*

Jo, AC and I on board flight PR503

We arrived in Singapore after 3 hours. AC's relatives picked us up from the airport. We left our bag at the hotel lobby because of the 2pm check in time.

Berry Good California Long Stem Strawberries

Yey! My DH is back from Hong Kong. He brought a lot of strawberries. Not just your normal tiny strawberries but the California long stem ones. I cringe when I saw 4 boxes. I already thought of dipping the strawberries in melted truffles thinking that it will be sour but when I took a bite it's not.

Berry Good 1 pound HKD43

These strawberries were so good that I was not able to melt the truffles because the strawberries were now all gone ; (
